ECO - CONSCIOUS

At Easytees, we are constantly striving to maintain the very highest international, environmental standards, by utilising the most sustainable production processes available to us. It is our priority to develop ethical relationships throughout our business, fostering the cost-effective, efficient and sustainable integrity our customers expect.

Our raw cotton is sourced from Australia and the USA, two highly regulated countries that produce premium quality, long-staple cotton. The greatest benefit of such high quality cotton, is that it guarantees the longevity of our garments. To assure that there is no shrinkage or twisting in our finished t-shirts, our fabric is washed prior to production and uses no chemical based detergents, preferring instead eco-friendly, plant based detergents.

Easytees fabrics are dyed using AZO free Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified dyes, in a state-of-the-art facility. We take pride in our use of Cold Pad Batch Dyeing (CPB) technology, which requires 75% less water and dye, than conventional vat dyeing equipment. The traditional vat dyes require large amounts of salt water to allow the colour to attach to the fabric, producing high levels of pollutable waste water. Conversely, our CPB dyeing requires no salt, as the colour is rolled into the fabric, through one of the few press roller facilities available in Asia.

Our screen printing process uses Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified Japanese water-based inks, which are 100% free of heavy metals, solvents and PVC.

While only 1% of the world’s cotton production is organic, here at Easytees, organic cotton is now used in 70% of our cotton T shirt production. Requiring less energy and water than conventional cotton, organic cotton is free from pesticides, insecticides, herbicides and genetically modified crops.

In a continued drive to be at the cutting edge of eco-friendly apparel, we are now able to incorporate tencel, bamboo and recycled PET plastic yarns (most commonly found in plastic drink bottles) into many of our garments.

Finally, we give all our customers the opportunity to help reduce their plastic usage, with the option to pack the t-shirts in a non-woven shopping bag.

Our director is the founder of both the Tas Pasar program, which distributes reusable shopping bags throughout Bali and the Keep Bali Clean foundation, that runs an extensive media campaign to educate the public about the perils of littering.
